Let’s start with an overview of the fingers and the significance of the dominant hand and the non-dominant hand in hand reading analysis.
Today, we will start with an overview of the thumbs. I’ll start with them because they say a lot about whether you are prone to getting results and the successes you want in life.
In actual fact, your thumb is the most important finger of your hands, whatever hand shape you have.
Try holding onto things without your thumb – well-nigh impossible, isn’t it? Certainly, very awkward and inconvenient.

Excuse me for putting it bluntly, but, if your thoughts are disempowering, your results won’t be what you want them to be – simple as that!
If we look at three prime characteristics that it takes for us to succeed, the thumb represents these three.
To succeed, you require
1. A strong WILL so that you have ongoing commitment to whatever you want to achieve
2. Planning and logical thinking to accomplish your desired outcomes, and
3. Self-expression – this is made up of two components
a. expressing clearly to yourselves the results of your planning, and
b. expressing to others what it is you want
Interesting, isn’t it?
So, in summary, what do your thumbs tell about you? Here are some possibilities.
1. How determined you are, which determines your capabilities – this is your will aspect
2. Your ability to produce results you want or the fact that you aren’t getting the resulst you want
3. How much control you have over your world or how little control you have over your world – in other words, whether you have handed over control to others
4. How significant is what you do in shaping the world you live in and want
5. This leads to whether you play a dominant role in your world. Are you playing the star in the movie of your life, or are you an extra?
6. Do you create habits that empower you or do you create habits that dis-empower you?
Really look at these questions, answering them honestly will already indicate to you where you may need to take more action to start to live your life powerfully on purpose.
